The Fire

Fire rages through
sure, untouchable, and devouring.
Burning brighter.
Burning forever.
There is no sight
or balance on which to stand.
Directionless,
as the pain engulfs
everything.
There is no sound, no thought,
but the clouds and haze the fire creates
as it tears me down to make room.
